What's left is a simple story of the heroine-down-on-her-luck.
Yes, there are some implausbilities but very few to disturb the clean lines of the plot. The dialogue is broadly in keeping with the period not Austen, Wot? The dialogue is broadly in keeping with the period not Austen, but not too obviously un-English, either , and there's a good sense of some of the social niceties of the time. There were certainly scenes of the two together, but generally bickering not even in a fighting-the-attraction sort of way either.
But all in, one of the better RRs. Apr 23, Katherine rated it really liked it.

As a result it makes it hard to see that he's falling in love with Olivia. Rather, he seems more or less uninterested and reprimanding more most of the novel.
I find it almost sad that she doesn't accept the other proposal offered to her. The highlight though is Marissa and her interaction with Raynor is a difficult character. The highlight though is Marissa and her interaction with Olivia, which makes it almost unforgivable when Olivia leaves her. Apr 04, Terrie rated it really liked it Shelves: in , regency-romance. I love the time period, but this author forgot that the s were proper times.
This story isn't well developed. It seems rushed and predictable. Probably a reason it was free on Amazon. There are no discussion topics on this book yet.
